Totally forgot to leave a review until now. 5 months in, and I’m always looking down at it and admiring it. I’m definitely obsessed with this tattoo. Took a mini vacation from work to get it done, and I’m happy I did. Tribute to my grandmother, a very smart women, in her hand writing. From the funky t, to the weirdly dotted i, Bryce did my grandmothers hand writing perfectly. I felt comfortable and enjoyed the conversations, he was very kind. Definitely ready to come back for more my next vacation.

I reached out to Headless Hands Tattoos for a consultation with a general idea of what I wanted but no specific overall look in mind. I met with Devon and he came up with a great concept for the piece I wanted. I went in for a full day session and it turned out beautifully. Devon was super fun the whole day. It was great to also see the other artist interested in each others work. I went back about a month later for a touch up appointment and that was just as great as the first appointment. Would highly recommend Devon and Headless Hands Tattoos for your next tattoo.

We had an absolutely incredible experience here!! We emailed for a consultation request hoping they’d have time over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and got a quick response from Flamingo. He made time for us the next day and we got amazing work! We both felt very comfortable in the shop, with Flamingo and with the cleanliness and professionalism there. He was light handed and the process was less painful than I’ve had other places, and the work is gorgeous. My partner and I both got tattoos one after another, spent about 6 hours there.

I recently got the green light (flashing yellow light) from my wife to get a sleeve on my left arm. With this being my most extensive and most visible project to date, I wanted the best in town. There are of course a number of excellent tattoo artists in Kansas City that do amazing work, and art is ultimately in the eye of the beholder. I made a short list of artists I was interested in, and Sean Gilbert was at the top of the list. I reached out seeking a consultation, and he was very responsive. I was able to get in the next week for an in person consultation, but it was cool he also provides virtual and some weekend options for those who cannot attend face to face. Even before meeting Sean, I gained a sense of comfort with the professionalism of the website, emphasizing safety protocols, properly protecting their clients and themselves with a detailed intake form, and of course the artwork itself from Sean and all his artists was impressive. After meeting Sean and getting the welcoming and easy going vibe of his shop, I was even more comfortable. I went through my idea and "vision" for the piece. That included the thought of three quarter sleeve. He said he was feeling it and was confident he could give me something I would absolutely love, but also let me know he did not think he could fit all the requested subject matter in the space available (I already have a tattoo on the inner bicep of this arm). He said there are tons of great artists in town that are more order takers, that will try their best to put the images you give them in the size and exact placement you tell them, and do a good job. He told me while he would work with me to make sure I loved what I would be wearing, he needed artistic freedom to design something unique. He also said he doesn't do little images, he does big bold beautiful detail, and that requires space. While he was ready for me to say thanks I'll find the order taker, little did he know that was EXACTLY what I wanted to hear. I am a numbers guy, he is a badass artist. I gave him my vision, he said he would bring it to life. This is my guy! As would be expected, an award winning artist is in high demand, so I was prepared to wait. We scheduled my first back to back sessions for 3/31 and 4/1. As luck would have it, he reached out the next week after our consultation to let me know that a two day client asked to reschedule. He asked if I would like to take their days. Uh, yeah! So, less than two weeks from consultation, I was in the shop ready to see what he came up with and hopefully get going. Not shockingly, I was blown away. We scheduled four 2 day sessions over several months, so he didn't really need to draw all four major elements of my tattoo, knowing he would only be accomplishing 1 for the first sessions. However, he wanted to lay his whole vision out there to make sure I was comfortable before getting started. A true pro, and a true badass. Two sessions now in the books, and I couldn't be happier or more impressed, most importantly with the craftsmanship, but also by how much he got accomplished in two days. Cherries on top, he and his team are hilarious and really enjoy each other, he's a doting husband and father, a coach, an athlete, all things that resonate with me. When you plan to spend dozens of hours with someone and then a lifetime hopefully admiring what they have created for you, all that stuff matters. Here is a pic. I will circle back around through the life of the project with fresh and eventually healed pics. If you are looking for an amazing shop from top to bottom, look no further. If you are looking for the best in the business for color realism, Sean is your guy!

Luke, the artist at Headless Hands is a amazing! He is very personable and professional. He did a fine line piece for me and my sister. He explained everything well and made the whole experience enjoyable. Definitely recommend coming here
